Just Sing 1.0.1 is a piece of freeware that lets you play karaoke or even pretend you’re in your own recording studio. It’s available for XP and Vista and it’s straightforward to download. All you need to do is plug in your microphone and start singing. The software comes with a song selection and there are a few well known hits to choose from that should get you started. It’s worth noting that the list isn’t very long and many of the hits are from yesteryear.

On the plus side, the programme comes with a clear interface that’s easy to use. The studio side of the programme enables you to record yourself singing and you can make various adjustments to it. For example, you can tweak Just Sing to take account of the size of the room you’re in and you can mess about with different sound effects like reverb and delay.
